What you get
You receive a full sized electronic claw machine built for high end event environments. The unit features an adjustable strength gantry that allows us to calibrate the grip based on the weight of your chosen prizes.
The package includes transport to your venue and professional positioning by our team. We provide a basic selection of clear capsules if you wish to hide small items or vouchers inside.
How it works on the day
Our team arrives at your venue several hours before the event starts to navigate service elevators and loading docks. We position the machine in your designated lounge or reception area and perform a power test.
During the reception or henna night, guests approach the machine at their leisure. They use the intuitive joystick to position the claw over their desired gift. Once they press the button, the claw descends and attempts to grab the prize.
Best use cases
A wedding claw machine serves as a perfect icebreaker during the cocktail hour at a JBR beachfront hotel. It gives guests something interactive to do while the couple finishes their photography session.
For a traditional henna night in a private villa in Jumeirah, the machine can be filled with small silk pouches containing jewellery or traditional sweets. It adds a modern twist to the gifting tradition while keeping younger guests entertained.
Planning tips and common mistakes
One common mistake is choosing prizes that are too heavy or too smooth for the claw to grip. We suggest using items with some texture or placing small items inside capsules to improve the win rate.
Consider the guest flow when choosing a location. Placing a claw machine in a narrow corridor can lead to congestion and block the path for catering staff. Ensure there is a three meter radius of open space around the front of the machine.
Space, power and access
The machine requires a standard three pin UAE power outlet located within two meters of the setup point. It draws a modest amount of electricity, similar to a standard household appliance, so it will not trip circuits in modern ballrooms.
Access is a critical factor for successful delivery. We need to know if there are any stairs, narrow doorways, or tight corners between the unloading bay and the ballroom. In venues like those in Business Bay or Palm Jumeirah, we often use service lifts.
Pricing and quotes
Your quote is determined by the duration of the rental and the location of your venue within the UAE. A standard evening rental in Dubai or Sharjah typically has a lower transport cost than a full day event in Ras Al Khaimah.
The choice of prizes also plays a role if you ask us to source them for you. We can provide standard plush toys, or you can opt for empty capsules to fill yourself.
When to book
The peak wedding season in the UAE runs from October to April. During these months, weekend dates are in high demand and often book out several months in advance. We recommend securing your machine as soon as your venue is confirmed.
For custom branding, we require your artwork files at least two weeks before the event. This gives us enough time for high quality printing and application.
Compare with other options
A wedding claw machine offers a different energy than a standard photo booth. While a photo booth provides a static memento, the claw machine offers a physical prize and a sense of achievement. If you want a high energy, competitive element, the claw machine is excellent.
Compared to a digital gaming station, the claw machine is more tactile and easier for all ages to understand. A digital station might appeal to a younger demographic but can feel out of place at a formal henna night.
